PRACTICAL AI GUIDE
AI Training for Employees: Where to Start
Employees need more than a list of prompts. Good training explains where AI fits, what information is approved, how to evaluate an answer, and when a person must stop and ask for help.
Set the boundary first
Name approved tools and accounts. Explain prohibited information, required review, ownership of generated work, and any legal or industry obligations. Give employees a clear route for questions and reporting mistakes.
Teach a repeatable working method
Describe the task, provide appropriate context, state the desired format, review the first result, and refine it. Employees should learn to verify facts, calculations, sources, and commitments rather than equating fluent writing with correctness.
Practice with real, safe examples
Use sanitized examples from the organization’s own work. A few useful workflows, practiced well, create better adoption than a broad tour of features that employees cannot connect to their day.
